Resuscitation: Cryoprecipitate

Cryoprecipitate:

  • Contains Factor VIII, fibrinogen and von Willebrand factor.

Indications:

  • Microvascular bleeding or massive blood loss in patients AND fibrinogen < 1 g/L OR if fibrinogen < 2 g/L in life threatening bleed.
  • Willebrand disease or Hemophilia A, ONLY if factor concentrates are not available.
